TASB Advocacy Agenda

Many voices, a common good, a consistent message...

Those three ideas are the foundation upon which the Texas Association of School Boards builds and executes its Advocacy Agenda, a two-year action plan focusing the efforts of the TASB Board of Directors, Association staff, and the more than 1,000 local school boards that constitute TASB.

Dianne Johnson, a board member from Houston ISD, asks questions at the Pre-Legislative Seminar in Austin. The Agenda is formed by two developmental paths that come together with the adoption of the Advocacy Agenda by the TASB Delegate Assembly and, again, at the midpoint of the legislative biennium.

The 2006-08 Advocacy Agenda was revised and adopted by the Delegate Assembly at the 47th Annual TASB/TASA Convention on September 29, 2007.
