Training

The Association believes that training is meant to be more than fulfilling continuing education credit requirements (though that's important, too!). You should come away from training with answers to your questions and a firm grasp on what to do with what you've learned.

Go beyond the basic requirements of continuing education credit with these programs:

Yvette Saenz from Agua Dulce at the 2006 Winter Governance and Legal SeminarFor new board members

TASB ISD. Looking for Being a Board Member 101? New board members can look to TASB ISD as a recommended curriculum for their first year of board service.

For experienced trustees

Leadership TASB. A year-long program for experienced trustees, Leadership TASB brings board members together from across the state to learn from each other and explore both the challenges and successes that Texas districts face.

Board Presidents Academy. Like TASB ISD, the academy is a recommended curriculum for individuals taking on the president's role ... or hoping to!
